THE ASHER PAINTINGJesus rides a white horse after His resurrection and ascension. (Revelation 19:11-12; see below) The sons of Zion shoot the arrow of victory. (Zechariah 9:13) Asher was positioned in the promised land on the northern sea coasts of Palestine, bordered on the eastside by Naphtali, the north side by Lebanon, and the south side by Zebulun.Because of these fertile surroundings, it was difficult for Asher to relinquish comfortable living to join the other tribes in war. (Judges 5:17b) Asher is sometimes associated with worldly commerce and compromise/mixture. Asher disobeyed Moses and intermarried with the Canaanites that they were commanded to drive out, just as business is often driven by greed and compromises.The Olive Tree: This signifies the prosperous nature of Ashers tribal allocation along the Mediterranean. (Genesis 49:20) The symbol of the tribe of Asher is the olive tree. Jacob said, His bread shall be fat, and shall yield royal dainties. Moses said Asher is more blessed than sons , favored by his brothers, and may he dip his foot in oil.
